Overview
The Bonds Page in BonData provides a structured and interactive way to manage how your systems connect, ensuring data consistency, accuracy, and new connection discovery. This page allows you to confirm existing connections, explore AI-suggested bonds, and refine how your data flows across different platforms.
What Are Bonds and Suggested Bonds?
Bonds
Bonds are approved connections between systems that define how data elements relate to each other.
Once confirmed, these connections help unify your data across different platforms, ensuring seamless workflows and automation.
Bonds specify which fields from different systems are linked.
Suggested Bonds
Suggested Bonds are AI-generated recommendations for potential connections between systems.
BonData analyzes metadata and hashed data to identify relationships between entities across platforms.
Each suggestion comes with a probability score, indicating how confident BonData is in the match.
Accessing the Bonds Page
After BonData completes its setup process, you can access the Bonds Page from the side menu:
Navigate to
Data > Bonds
to explore your data relationships.A virtual map of all identified and suggested connections will be available for you to review and refine.
How to Use the Bonds Page
1. Bonds Tab (Confirmed Connections)
Displays all approved bonds between your systems.
Each bond includes:
The linked systems and their associated fields.
A Default column: The primary field used for integration between two entities.
Actions column: Options to:
Edit a bond (modify the connected fields or entities)
Generate probability matching (download a file with full matches, unmatched records, or all records for data quality review).
When the generation is complete, you can download the file here:
Switch default connections (use the arrows icon under the Default column, which will appear if more than one connection exists).
2. Suggested Bonds Tab (AI-Generated Recommendations)
Displays all new potential connections discovered by BonData.
Each suggested bond includes:
3. Creating a Bond Manually
In addition to working with AI-suggested bonds, you can manually create a bond between systems to define custom data relationships.
How to Create a Manual Bond:
Go to the Bonds Page (
Data > Bonds
).Click "Create Bond" at the top right of the page.
Select the two systems you want to connect.
Choose the fields from each system that should be linked.
(Optional) Add multiple fields to refine the connection:
For example, you can bond records only when both First Name and Last Name match, or bonding both Full Name and Email, increasing the flexibility for more complex or advanced matchdes.
Set Matching Rules:
Choose between exact matches only or allow partial matches.
For partial matches, define a match confidence threshold (e.g., 90-100%).
This enables smart matching by identifying records with slight differences (e.g., typos, missing words, special characters).
Once created, the bond will function like any other confirmed bond in BonData, appearing in the Bonds tab and being available for use in Playbooks.
4. Graph Page (Alternative Visualization)
The Graph tab provides a visual representation of your data connections.
It offers an interactive map where you can:
The Graph Page is an alternative way to work with bonds, allowing a big-picture perspective while still enabling direct management.
4. Navigating & Filtering Bonds
Use the search and filter panel on the left-hand side to:
Data Security & Privacy: Virtual Supersystem
BonData does not store raw data—it only keeps metadata, connection details, and hashed values.
Your data is accessed only when needed to execute Playbooks or enhance data integrity.
This ensures GDPR and SOC II compliance while maintaining seamless data operations.
